Garry's Mod 12 (v142) (Standalone)

WARNING! You need to own Garry's Mod on Steam! in order to play this version!

The Most Used and the Most Stable version, the perfected version... now with Toybox!

NOTE: People are still migrating to this version, so don't expect good support yet!

How to install?

    1. Have either 7-zip, Win-RAR, or any other 7z-compatible archive extractor

    2. Download Reboxed Garry's Mod 12

    3. Extract gmod12-flatgrass.7z anywhere(yes, anywhere), it does NOT go in sourcemods

    4. Ensure Steam is running and is in online mode

    5. Right click Patch Hosts (Run as Administrator).bat and select Run as Administrator. The opened window will close immediately after, you only need to do this once.

    6. Create a shortcut to hl2.exe, add the following in the end of the Target field, BUT DO NOT REMOVE ANYTHING:

    "-game garrysmod -steam"


    You can change the icon to anything by pressing "Change Icon" and finding the .ico or .exe you want to switch the icon to.

How to install??!

    1. Download the content you want

    2. Make sure it's named correctly (e.g. cstrike, episodic, etc)

    3. Extract in Source SDK Base 2007 (or 2006/main folder of the game (BEFORE garrysmod) depending on the version you have installed)

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU EXTRACT THESE ARCHIVES AND NAME THEM CORRECTLY! Many people accidentally extract it either in the /hl2 folder or /garrysmod or god knows where, so please, extract and name them correctly!
